National Country Market's role is to ensure that media buyers
are aware of the success story that electric co-op magazines represent. NCM organizes nationally recognized
research and promotes the magazines at trade shows, through media opportunities, via the Internet, and other
means, and establishes relationships with media buyers across the nation.
Based in Austin, Texas, NCM is a not-for-profit cooperative association organized by the
editors of its member publications in 1994 to increase the quality and quantity of national
and regional advertising.
It is owned by 19 statewide electric cooperative associations and is managed by an executive
director and a board of directors comprised of seven electric co-op magazine editors/publishers
and advertising managers.
